Why use PDF Karigar to scan to PDF?

Turn receipts, letters and forms into a PDF using your phone’s camera — no scanner and no app to install. Clean-up filters make photos look like real scans.

  • Private by design. Files are processed on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, stored or shared.
  • Free, with no catch. No sign-up, no watermarks and no daily limits.
  • Works everywhere. Runs in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone.

Getting clean scans with your phone

  • Lay the page on a dark, plain surface so its edges stand out.
  • Use daylight or a bright room, and keep your own shadow off the page. Hold the phone straight above the page, not at an angle.
  • For text documents, use a clean-up filter. It makes pages easier to read and the file much smaller.
  • Scan every page of a document in one go so they end up in a single PDF, in order.

Portals often reject photos that are blurred, cut off or too dark, so check each page on screen before saving. If the finished file is over the limit, use Compress PDF.

Scan to PDF: frequently asked questions

Do I need to install a scanner app?

No. Scan to PDF works in your phone’s browser and uses the camera directly.

How do I make scans look clean?

Choose the Document or Black & white filter. They whiten the paper and darken the text, like a flatbed scanner.

Can I scan a multi-page document?

Yes. Keep adding photos and each one becomes a page in the same PDF.
